Göta Kanal and Sankt Anna
Östergötland has lots of lakes and watercourses. We visit two of the most picturesque: Göta Canal and St Anna Archipelago. After a cruise through the locks and over aqueducts on the canal, we hire a sea kayak and enjoy the surroundings from the surface of St Anna Archipelago.
Cruise and cycle along Göta Kanal
We enrol at M/S Ceres in Berg to travel west towards Borensberg. On the way we pass several locks, jetties, aqueducts and lots of beautiful sights. Once there, we take a cycle, which is included in the cruise package, back to our starting point. On the way we pass Cloetta’s Outlet shop in Ljungsbro and stock up on necessary provisions.
Sea kayak in S:t Anna and Gryt Archipelagos
Setting off on the sea in a kayak can really be recommended. Fresh air in your lungs and real, beautiful images to treasure for a long time. Gunvor Larsson and her family run Sankt Anna Kajak and have hired out kayaks for decades, and they know what is worth knowing about all the islets and skerries here.
