Swedens highest mountain, Kebnekaise
Come along up to the top of Kebnekaise’s southern peak, Sweden’s highest point, and deep down into the Kiruna Mine – 500 metres below the ground. During our visit to Norrland we stay at Stora Sjöfallets Fjällanläggning.
Sweden's highest point
Up on Sweden’s highest point, Kebnekaise’s southern peak, it’s not just the expanses and the incredible landscape that impress. The achievement, the fact that you have made it all the way – whichever trail you chose – is just as exciting.
Half a kilometre under the ground
Iron has been mined in the Kiruna Mine since the beginning of the 20th century, and a visit down here is an exciting experience. The knowledge that you are about 500 metres under the ground is exciting.
