Beautiful Skåne, wonderful Österlen
On a high altitude with wings and on ancient tracks in Österlen. We set off to Kåseberga to try a spot of paragliding. We then head to Brösarp to go for a ride on a steam engine that is over a century old.
Paragliding in Kåseberga
The conditions for paragliding in Kåseberga are optimal. The steep slope allows winds coming in from the sea to blow straight up, and a knowledgeable pilot can stay up there for hours. Flying solo demands a certificate, but you can also book a tandem flight that lasts 20 minutes.

Steam engine on old tracks
The Brösarp – Sankt Olof route is operated by an early 20th century steam engine. The sound from the tracks and the smell from the chimney take you to another time. You could of course look at it as just a mode of transport, but more than that, it is a lovely and unusual experience well worth writing home about.
