Lovely Hälsingland
In Hälsingland we mix different kinds of excitement: sedentary but thrilling bear watching and adrenaline-pumping downhill cycling in Järvsö Bike Park. On our visit to the beautiful province, also the home district of the Swedish singer Lill-Babs, we stay at Järvsö Camping B&B Stugor.
See bears in their natural habitat
Not many can boast having seen bears in their natural habitat, but we keep our fingers crossed that we’ll be able to be among those lucky few and join Håkan Vargas on his bear safari.

Downhill in Järvsö Bike Park
Järvsö has one of Sweden’s finest downhill parks for mountain bikes. Take the lift up and the bike down. Choose from several prepared trails varying in difficulty. Nearby there are also hire services and a shop. If you are a complete novice you can book a course.

Järvsö Camping
With the smell of the lilac hedges in our noses, we park in the shade of the weeping birches at Järvsö Camping, in the heart of the small community of Järvsö. As well as pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents, there are log cabins in classic Hälsinge tradition. Some are more than 100 years old.
