A nice mix on Gotland
Gotland is much more than sun, swimming and sheep. We visit the Gotlanders’ island and fit in Medeltidsveckan (‘Medieval Week’) as well as the cool Lummelundagrottan. We also put our artistic talents to the test on the potter’s wheel.
Try the potter’s wheel at Etelhems Krukmakeri
It’s not as easy as it looks but at least as relaxing. And it’s a great feeling to transform a lump of clay into something you can drink from or serve the cream for the coffee in. At Etelhems Krukmakeri anyone who wants to can try the potter’s wheel and make an object for a small fee – lovely, creative relaxation.

Medieval Week in Visby, Gotland
Welcome to Wisby in 1361. In the first week of August, the beautiful summer city is transformed into a medieval village. You can enjoy handicraft, stage plays, music, jesters and jousting everywhere. Medeltidsveckan offers experiences that are hard to find anywhere else.

Lummelundagrottan
Just 15 minutes from Visby you’ll find one of Gotland’s best-known sights, an attraction that is much older than both the city wall and the knights, in fact about 435 million years: Lummelundagrottan.

Beef producers at Ejmunds Gård
High-class beef production is unfortunately not becoming more common, except at Ejmunds Gård. The animals there only eat food that is free from antibiotics and hormones, and in the farm shop you’ll find nice products that taste as good on your tongue as for your conscience.

Our accommodation on Gotland
Kneippbyn Resort Visby
We use Gotland’s only five-star campsite as a starting point, Kneippbyn Resort Visby, with sea views and magical sunsets, if you want to take it easy, and a water park and funfair, if you want to be more active. The proximity to the beautiful Visby is another contributing factor to the campsite’s popularity.
