Off to sea and in the saddle in northern Germany
Northern Germany is just a ferry trip from Sweden. Soon after we drive off the ferry, we drive the caravan onto a further boat, albeit slightly smaller – one that we navigate ourselves. After the sea camping experience, it’s time to discover Berlin with a guide – on a cycle.
With the caravan as our cabin
Driving the caravan or motorhome on board a boat is nothing remarkable, but then to steer the boat yourself is not something you see or experience every day. At Camping Maritim next to Lake Müritz you can do exactly that.
Camping Maritim
Park and ride in the German capital, Berlin
Berlin is one of Europe’s most visited cities, and that’s not surprising as there is something for everyone here: exciting nightlife, cool architecture and dramatic history. A guided cycle tour is one way to get really close to the sights in this relatively flat city.

Our accommodation in northern Germany
Camping Potsdam
It’s difficult to find caravan and motorhome accommodation closer to the centre of Berlin than Camping Potsdam. This campsite enjoys a scenic location close to the water, and from here you can quickly get to the hustle and bustle of the city.
Camping and Caravan Park Kamerun
Camping and Caravan Park Kamerun is an option if you want to stay centrally at the campsite, close to conveniences and facilities, or a little more secluded. Whatever you choose, you are never far from Germany’s second-biggest lake – Müritz.
