Vive la France
We head for Normandy and the magnificent abbey Mont Saint Michel. Then, the Omaha Beach awaits and an unsettling walk in the tracks of the Second World War. We end with a sparkling visit to France’s northernmost and most glamorous wine district – Champagne.

A visit to the abbey Mont Saint Michel
Mont Saint Michel is sometimes known as one of France’s most captivating sights. The castle-like abbey with its abbey church is located on top of a mount on the peninsula Mont-Tombe in the middle of the Atlantic waters. As the tide floods the natural bridge that connects the abbey with the mainland, Mont-Tombe becomes an island.

The beginning of the end – Omaha Beach
Beautiful views, good tastes and fun memories are all very well – they are wonderful. But sometimes a terrible destination can arouse stronger feelings than the most dizzying outlooks or enchanting sunsets. Omaha Beach – the scene of the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944 – leaves no one unmoved.

A sparkling visit to Champagne
The Champagne district has about 5000 wine producers and makes the world-famous and beloved bubbles. This is the location of, among others, AU36 – one of France’s best wine shops. All the villages in this glamorous district have been divided into quality levels. The vineyard Champagne Etienne Lefèvre is located in one of the villages with the finest status: Gran Cru.
