Weekend in Gothenburg
We stay at the leafy Lisebergsbyn Kärralund. From here it’s not far to the biggest amusement park in Northern Europe – Liseberg. In Feskekörka, we pick up the ingredients for the evening’s picnic, which we’ll eat on Brännö Brygga while the dance music fills the archipelago.

Liseberg, Scandinavia’s biggest amusement park
Gothenburg’s own Liseberg is Scandinavia’s biggest amusement park and attracts millions of visitors every year. It offers everything from the hug-friendly rabbit land for young children to sensational rollercoasters, renowned around the world, for older children and adults.

Traditional food market with delicacies from the sea
There has been fishing trade in Feskekôrka (Fish church) for more than a hundred years. The house takes its name partly from its church-like exterior and partly because it has almost everything imaginable in the way of fish and shellfish – lots of it fresh on the day from the harbour.

Dancing on Brännö Brygga
Brännö Brygga offers traditional dancing a few times every summer from Midsummer onwards. Brännö is located in Gothenburg’s southern archipelago and is one of the most beautiful places on the West Coast. It’s easy to get here by public transport boats from the hub in Saltholmen.
