Weekend in Nora
Västmanlands Nora offers weekend adventures in the form of the world championships in gold-washing and day-fresh ice cream from Nora Glass. Watch also when the world champion Ken Karlsson teaches us the basics of gold-washing in Kopparberg.

Gold rush in Kopparberg
Don’t be fooled by the name of the old mining district. Here it’s all about gold. Ken Karlsson has 39 world championship medals in gold-washing, so if anyone can show us how gold-washing is done, it’s him. We also visit the festival Guldrusch (gold rush) – an event filled with activity, food and music, and a gold-washing competition of course.

Making ice cream and visit the market in Nora
Just under an hour south of Kopparberg is one of Sweden’s best-preserved small towns, Nora. The well-known and famed market here is still being held. After sweaty gold-washing and shopping it’s time to cool off. And what better way than to visit Nora Glassfabrik?
