A plant that thrives in Bohuslän’s salty environment is sea buckthorn, also called Nordic passion fruit by some. Sea buckthorn gets its name from its sharp thorns and the fact that it thrives by the sea. We visit Silje-Eks Havtorn in Strömstad, which grows, produces and sells sea buckthorn products: marmalade, dessert sauce, jam, jelly, nectar, muesli, flour, tea and sweets.
